Our Story
Our story begins with a chance encounter, as Graham became Sam's very first solar installation customer. A journey of exploration ensued, marked by Graham's fascination with solar and keen attention to detail, and Sam's extensive electrical expertise and personal drive. Their collaboration left both deeply impressed, and a strong partnership was born. Together, they embarked on a path they seemed destined to follow, sharing a passion for harnessing the power of the sun.
Sam
Sam was bought up surrounded by electricians, with his father and godfather both serving the local community. Sam is continuing his late fathers' company by running Avon Electrical and continuing to bring through the next generation of electricians with the majority of the team being made up of past or present apprentices. In recent years he has expanded his expertise and skills into the renewables sector and is delighted to offer the services of Avon Renewables. There is a seamless blend between the two companies, bringing the best of both to all of our installations. Our ethos is that of a local, honest and reliable company, providing electrical services to our local customer base over the past 10 years.
Graham
Graham brings a wealth of commercial and operational excellence experience from a 25-year career in senior management roles with multinational engineering and services firms. His fascination with renewable energy was sparked while working with a Dorset-based waste-to-energy tech company. In 2017, Graham embarked on a new journey, leaving corporate life behind. With prior entrepreneurial ventures and a passion for positive change, he jumped at the chance to help Sam on his journey. Graham has a passion for sharing his solar knowledge, supporting his customers to understand the benefits, and finding the right green energy solution for them.
